Earnest's New Friend

One week ago, our family took a happy stroller walk over to the hospital to visit good friends of ours who had just had a baby.  The afternoon sunshine paired well with the feelings in the hospital room.  My dear friend was now a mama!  She was glowing.  Nick was smiling ear to ear.  And their new little guy was content taking it all in.  He is such a handsome fellow!
Meet Isaac Daniel Stromwall:
Mom, Dad, and Baby are all doing great!  I love this next picture.  So much joy!
Earnest really enjoyed meeting his new friend.
Congrats again Stromwalls!  God bless your new family!  May His grace and joy abound in this new season of life!

good mail

Hello Friends!

Don't you just love getting a piece of good mail?  You know the kind I'm talking about, birthday cards, packages, and other unexpected surprises.  Well, I just got some GREAT mail yesterday!  My friend Kathy from Life, Really, sent me a gift card to the Texas Roadhouse!  I entered her blog contest a few weeks back and won (still can't believe it)!  I am so blessed by this sweet gift....Josh and I can't wait to use it for a date!  Thanks again Kathy, for such a generous, thoughtful gift!  You all should definitely go check out Kathy's blog for yourself; I'm sure you'll want to stay a while.

Happy Weekend Everyone!
Send someone a card "just because" :).

Love,
Jen

A Party for Pamela

Meet Pam (she's the lovely blonde on the left).  I have had the privilege of knowing Pam these past couple of years through our church small group.  She is a thoughtful, kind-hearted woman who radiates the light of Jesus.  She is also getting married very soon and moving to South Carolina!  We will all miss our friend very much but rejoice with her in this new season of her life.  Some of us girls got together this evening to celebrate Pam's entrance into marriage.  We ate on the rooftop of a Japanese restaurant called Moto-I.  It was a wonderful time of sitting in the sunshine (under the shade of an umbrella) and enjoying good food and friends.
Here are a few more photos of our time together:

We love you Pamela!
God bless you and Michael and your new life together!

Cute Clements Family

Meet the Clements: Dan, Amber and Little Miss Nora.  They are dear friends that visited us a few weeks back and I still haven't gotten around to posting photos...until now!  My excuse has to do with the end of the school year and I suppose I could always throw the pregnancy card in there too :).

Here are a few family photos from the park:

Week Twenty Nine

What a special week it was: Jemimah was in "The Wiz" musical as Glinda the Good Witch, we had our first child birth class, and our good friends The Clements visited us from Chicago!  Once I get a chance I will share some photos from our time with Dan, Amber, and Nora.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend friends!
Happy Sunday!

A Bridal Shower

Meet Susie.  She's a sweet friend from our small group and is getting married in exactly one week!  Just recently we had a bridal shower to honor this very special girl.

Here are some photos from our evening:
Emilie did a great job hosting the shower.  It was so enjoyable sipping lemonade with fresh rasberries, listening to old albums, and sharing in good conversation with the girls.

We also played a game where we had to identify the names of different teas according to their smell.
What a lovely time with lovely friends.
I can't wait for the wedding!

Coffee with Katie

Meet Katie.  She is a very good friend of mine.  Last Monday she took me to breakfast at The Bad Waitress in Uptown.  It was a refreshing time catching up on life, pondering the future, and encouraging one another in the gospel.  I am thankful for Katie and the hope she speaks to me when I see her;
especially on a Monday morning.
